Father Philip M. Colonel of the Redemptorists stationed at St. Alphonsus in New York has just published a manual of hymns intended to promote congregational singing. The Bishops of the Province of New York in their last Provincial Council held shortly before the Plenary Council of Baltimore expressed the desire that the elements of music be taught in all the schools.
