Scope and Contents
Dorsey's mother, Anna Hanson Dorsey was amazed and shocked at her daughter asking Hudson about receiving orders. Mrs. Dorsey suggests that Hudson write to Mr. Osgood, the publisher, telling him popular her stories are and that there has been a demand for a second edition. Mrs. Dorsey, after seeing the photograph of herself, wants another one made before allowing herself to be introduced to the public. Dorsey is playing up to the Murphy family so that she can get a friendly barter with them. She hopes to get to Sadlier, the publisher.
