Edwards is glad that Father-General has forced Hudson to take a vacation. Edwards sent the picture to Father Ernest Van Dyke by Mrs. Justin . Father Thomas Walsh and Father John Zahm started for Mexico last Tuesday, Edwards accompanied them to Maniton. Walsh was ill for several days. Edwards is sorry to hear that Father Alexis Granger is ill. He is glad many Catholic Papers showed an appreciation of the Bishop's oration. Colonel Boone died Monday night. Walsh has delighted the Denver people. Zahm said that Bishop Joseph Macheboeuf is anxious to do some thing for the dome; Macheboeuf desires to keep Bishop Richard Gilmore company. Edwards cannot imagine the unpleasant news Hudson mentions unless it is the unfortunate Smith affair. :: X-2-n A.L.S. 4pp. 8vo. 10
