Dorsey, Anna Hanson, Washington, District of Columbia, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1883 May 23

 Item — Box: CHUD 5
Identifier: CHUD X-2-h

Scope and Contents

Dorsey encloses a postal from Patrick J. Kenedy the New York Publisher as a specimen of what may be expected if Dorsey made a stand about her books. Dunigan died, after having failed years ago, and Kircher his successor carried on the business. Kenedy bought the stereotype plates he says, but Dorsey will not notice his communication. Dorsey is afraid she will get to hate the Irish, most of her Shylocks have been Yankeeized Irishmen, more Yankee that the Yankees themselves. :: X-2-h A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
