Dorsey, Anna Hanson, Washington, District of Columbia, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1883 March 15
Item — Box: CHUD 5
Identifier: CHUD X-2-k
Scope and Contents
Dorsey encloses a pamphlet on the physical and immediate cause of Christ's death. It was written by an eminent Protestant physician of Yonkers, New York. Enclosed is a rare photograph of the original painting by G. Max, a maestro of the modern school. She has permission to send them to Hudson that he might examine them for a week. They give an idea of what Christ suffered before his death. Dorsey is of the opinion that Christ suffered more in the Garden of Gethsemane than he did on Calvary. Bishop John Joseph Keane of Richmond is of this school of thought. :: X-2-k A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
