Dorsey, Anna Hanson, Washington, District of Columbia, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1883
Scope and Contents
Dorsey is rather perturbed by the way Sadlier is making returns on the sale of her books. She received a letter from them stating she is the first person ever to question their word. An earthquake shook the residential section around the Dorsey house. Father Kelly, S.J., in bed when the shock occurred, thought of running into the street, but concluded that the bed would be the best place to be if the house fell in. She complains that Catholic literature has long neglected to appreciate the long service that she has rendered. Dorsey asks Hudson to sound out Thomas Noonan Company about bringing out her books. She claims nothing is ever said about her stories in the Ave Maria, while Eleanor Donnelly and others have received praise. :: X-2-k A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
