Gordon, Adella, Cairo, Illinois, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882 October 23
Scope and Contents
A wonderful improvement in John English's health is attributed to Father Hudson's prayers. English, if he recovers, has promised to take Fr. Hudson to Lourdes with him. Miss Cordon wishes to go to Europe some day. An interesting letter was received from Father General recently. Miss Gordon has a request to make of him next month. She inquires about her cousin and, for her father, about will Johnson of New Lexington, Ohio. Horse back riding is her favorite sport, but the facilities are very poor at Cairo, Illinois. She has scolded her cousin, Josie, for using tobacco. She hopes to hear from Father Hudson soon. :: X-2-j A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
