Gordon, Adella, Centralia, Illinois, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882 July 8

 Item — Box: CHUD 4
Identifier: CHUD X-2-j

Scope and Contents

The four girls and Mrs. Morgan went downtown. Hudson's letter was waiting for her when she arrived here on Wednesday. When she left Keokuk she did expect to remain in St. Louis three weeks but the programme was so pleasant she could hardly persuade herself to leave. She has heard nothing of Notre Dame commencement exercises. Mother Lucretia sent a description of the exhibit at St. Mary's. On leaving St. Louis Wednesday morning she met Father John A. Zahm, C.S.C. getting off the train. He told her Hudson was not feeling well, but she hopes he will be recovered by September. She hopes to reach Notre Dame some day. Josie is now home with Papa but may go to Ohio for part of the summer. :: X-2-j A.L.S. 6 pp. 12 mo.
