Kelly, C.S.C., Father Charles H., Detroit, Michigan, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882
Item — Box: CHUD 4
Identifier: CHUD X-2-i
Scope and Contents
The contents of Hudson's letter surprised Kelly. When Kelly spoke to Bishop Casper Henry Borgess he said that it would be inprudent for him to write to Father General asking for a dispensation for Kelly. Kelly desired him then to say nothing of the affair. Why he should write about the matter Kelly cannot understand. Kelly would like to know the light in which he put things and Father General's answer. Father Ernest Van Dyke is about the same. They would all be glad to have Hudson for the Feast of the Holy Name. :: X-2-i A.L.S. 2pp. 4to.
