Stace, Mary Ann, Churchtown, Ohio, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C ., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1879 August 7
Scope and Contents
A long time ago Miss Stace put on paper the history of some conversions that took place in England. The parties are now among the blessed she hopes. She always meant it for the Ave Maria but Hudson always said he had too many on hand. She has occupied her vacation by rewriting this tale. She would like to send it to Hudson but she wants to be sure Hudson does not already have too many. The usual price will be left to Hudson. It is about the length of "Natalie" which she translated last year. She regrets not being able to send a mite for the rebuilding of Notre Dame as she was teaching for less than her expenses, but will contribute if her tale is published. :: X-2-e A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
