The dreadful news of Notre Dame reached Mr. Hickey in Albany on his way to New York City and he has not been able to write a letters of condolence. He is writing an article for the Catholic Review which will show his sorrow for Hudson's misfortune. It is curious that they were discussing fire on Monday and on Wednesday Notre Dame was in ashes. Hickey is sure that Our Lady will lighten this great cross. He hopes the Ave Maria escaped, as he has not heard how great the disaster was or what was saved. :: X-2-e A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
