Mrs. Wood has enclosed a poem entitled "The Annunciation". Miss Starr advised her to send it and said that it would be better if Hudson patronized home talent more than so much from abroad. She is writing verses for her own pleasure and sends this one as an offering. A priest wrote commending her on some of her verses in the Ave Maria.
