O'Meara, Kathleen, Woolhampton, England, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1878 December 9
Scope and Contents
Hudson's letter of Nov. 18th received and she wrote one to him the same day. Hopes the sketch of Pere Lecondaire has reached Notre Dame safely. "Cyril" is supposed to appear without the name of the author at the Cardinal's request. Also for the people concerned in the history it needs a much more famous name to make it interesting. The story is the true story of two souls and while writing it, the power was felt so intensely that it was an effort to go on with the work. She is sure it will reach many with the force of a living Messai, as one sees God almost visible. She asks remembrance in Hudson's prayers for ten conversions, and her mother is better when she asks for Hudson's prayers. They are going to be in Woolhampton until February. Best wishes for Christmas. :: X-2-e A.L.S. 4 pp. 16 mo
