Russell, Father Matthew, Dublin, Ireland, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1878 July 30
Item — Box: CHUD 2
Identifier: CHUD X-2-d
Scope and Contents
Russell hopes that Hudson is over his illness. Russell thanks Hudson for his useful review of "Emmanuel", and says that the success of his "Emmanuel" is a surprise to him. He printed "Alive" from Miss O'Meara's manuscript and paid her for it as for her originals although she told Russell that it was only an improved edition of something she had already had printed in America. Russell has great confidence in the writings of Miss Mahoney and Miss Attie O'Brien as their stories are very tasteful and edifying. :: X-2-d A.L.S. 4pp. 16mo.
