Chisholm, Arch, London, England, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1876 December 6

 Item — Box: CHUD 1
Identifier: CHUD X-2-d

Scope and Contents

He sends two articles taken from the Madras Catholic Expositor of 1842 dealing with Catholic events in the East Indies region. In case the stories prove to be too long he summarizes the story of Dr. Kennedy by saying that he was member of the first group of Irish priests who almost all, after preaching the Gospel, succumbed to the trying climate. Chisholm devotes most of his time to writing articles of a religious or controversial nature. Occasionally he contributes stories to the London Weekly Register under the initials A.C., and he formerly wrote articles entitled "Religious Fragments" for the W. Register. Due to his old age his activities have been hampered but still upon receiving the Ave Maria he regularly forwards it to different institutions. :: X-2-d A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
