Scope and Contents

Loyzance has requested their fathers in Troy to send Clarke some photographs of the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs, Auriesville, New York. In the summer of 1884 they selected Auriesville as being the site of the first village of the Mohawks. In 1885 the shrine was built and John Gilmary Shea received communion there on August 15.
