Alemany, O.P., Archbishop Joseph S., Valencia, Spain, to Father Hugh F. Lilly, O.P., New York, New York, 1886 June 1
Scope and Contents
The agent in Barcelona has received the box of books. Alemany should have written before, but he was very busy translating into Italian the life of a saintly Dominican Sister, much like that of St. Catherine of Sienna, who he hopes will be canonized. Alemany wants to know how much he owes. He might have to purchase some little property adjoining their Dominican Church called El Pilar, where he hears confessions. Several young men have called asking to be received. He has a novice master with him but he could not receive until the General sends two or three more. The people are glad to see the habits of St. Vincent Ferrer. :: I-2-n A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
