Edwards, James F., Notre Dame, Indiana, to Richard Henry Clarke, New York, New York, 1885 April 26

 Item
Identifier: CRCL I-2-n

Scope and Contents

Edwards delayed acknowledging the annuals because he was searching for the Freeman's Journals. He can find only five or six volumes of recent date. Before the fire they had nearly all the volumes. He has an old pamphlet copy of the "Conversion of Father Thayer" which he will gladly send. Fathers Sorin, Walsh, and Hudson invite Clarke to Notre Dame. Father P.M. O'Regan, C.M. informed Edwards that he knew of no portrait of his uncle. Notre Dame's artist is to paint a portrait of Cardinal John McCloskey . Can Clarke give any information about the color of the Cardinal's hair, eyes, and complexion? :: I-2-n A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
