Item
Identifier: CMMA I-2-f
Scope and Contents
Moriarty asks that the Freeman be sent to Joseph Lindsay, Stephentown, New York at his expense. He encloses a clipping from the Syracuse Courier. There is great excitement over the controversy. He has a number of converts under his instruction, and baptized one, Mary McMaster, whose father was a blue Presbyterian. Bishop Huntington's article appeared last Saturday, and Moriarty notified his congregation he would give the final reply to Huntington and Dr. Clarke the past evening.
