Scope and Contents
He encloses $3 for the Freeman, and thanks McMaster for all the good he is doing for the Church. The Catholic press is a power, reaching farther than the voices of bishops or priests. Well-meaning Protestants read the Freeman, and Catholic doctrine is implanted in their hearts. All readers of the Freeman will agree that it is one of the foremost forces in disseminating Catholic doctirne.
