He feels bad about what happened lately in Thompson Street. Though he considers Father James Sheeran right in principle, he cannot justify his violent and vindictive manner of upholding it. He is sorry for all concerned, especially since the affair has acquired publicity. He sends his regards to Mrs. McMaster, the children, and to Mrs. Brown.
