He received McMaster's letter asking for a renewal of his subscription in the Freeman's Journal. Since they have not received a number since last fall, they thought it a waste of money. They supposed McMaster knew the Journal did not come to this state by mail. They did see the number containing Bishop John Spaulding's pastoral letter.
