O'Flynn, C. J., Detroit, Michigan, to Bishop Peter Paul Lefevere, Detroit, Michigan, 1867 February 28
Scope and Contents
He understands that it is the bishop's earnest wish to have the Sisters of the Good Shepherd locate here; the only obstacle is the want of a house. O'Flynn can supply this want upon reasonable and just terms. Mrs. John Watson's house on Fort Street is quite suitable; he will rent the premises for a term of years to the Sisters for seven per cent on their cash value to be designated in the lease and will give them the privilege of buying at the expiration of the lease, or at any time before. All the Sisters would require to start would be sufficient funds to furnish the house - about a thousand dollars which could easily be raised. He asks an immediate reply since he has other offers. :: III-2-l A.L.S. 2pp. 4vo
