An Irish clergyman named Coffey presented himself to Carrell for a place and Carrell has none for him. Coffey is a sober, pious priest and Carrell would like to keep him. He is 44 years of age and of respectable appearance. Carrell is sorry he cannot visit Lefevere but the only place he goes in the year is Baltimore and he would not go there if they did not pay his expenses.
