The Central Councils of the Association for the Propagation of the Faith have allocated 12,000 francs to the diocese of Detroit for 1852. As customary, one-fifth of this sum will be kept until the amount of collections for the year is known in February 1853. The Sacra Congregatione de Propaganda Fide has made it the duty of the Association to distribute the offerings of the Association for the support of all the workers in the missions and not as a subsidy exclusively applicable to the bishops, vicars apostolic and heads of missions.
