Eldridge informs Lefevere that the Senate passed the bill that day to amend the "act to authorize the sale of certain lands on Macon Reserve ". They had a struggle but after some discussion, a majority of two-thirds of the members voted for the bill. Senator George R. Griswold also gave the bill his support. :: III-2-h A.L.S. 1p. 12mo.
