Scope and Contents

This letter is to inform Fenwick that two Dominicans, Fathers William Harold and John Ryan who have been living in the diocese of Philadelphia have been strongly urged by the Sacred Congregation that since they have been ordered by the Holy Father to depart, they should go to Cincinnati and there perform their sacred ministry. Fenwick is so informed that he may receive these two men, show them evidences of benevolence, propose to them that they remain there and serve for the good of religion.
