Archbishop John Ireland informs Onahan that he wishes the meeting of the 16th to be held in Chicago and Onahan believes he has written to Brownson on the subject. Onahan would like exceedingly to have the meeting held here in the Grand Pacific Hotel. He is not certain he could go on to Detroit, However, in case the change is not made and he finds he cannot go on he will send a full report. He asks why the Railroad Association of Michigan declines to make a reduced rate for the Congress? :: III-3-c A.L.S. 1 p 8 vo.
