Doize has received Brownson's letter of Oct. 31 in reply to a letter of his own under the pseudonym Peregrinus . He subscribes for the works of Brownson and suggests as an agent for the South his friend Charles D. Elder, a Catholic blood agent and shopkeeper of New Orleans, the brother of Archbishop William Henry Elder, Coadjutor to Archbishop Purcell. Elder is willing to undertake the work for Brownson.
