Hendricken, Father Thomas F., Waterbury, Connecticut, to Bishop Francis P. McFarland of, Hartford, Connecticut, 1871 March 28

 Item
Identifier: CDHT I-1-c

Scope and Contents

Hendricken encloses no enclosure a vote of the Board of Corporation of the Church empowering him to mortgage, sell or convey the land he spoke about when he was in Providence. As soon as he receives it back with the Bishop's signature he will endeavor to dispose of the property. Real estate does not have a good market and it might be best not to hold out for too high a price. The old Catholic cemetery is now available and can be sold whenever the Bishop is willing. It stands in the center of the city. The bodies are being removed and the congregation will have no objection to parting with it. He might want to sell it before the end of the year. :: I-1-c A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
