Hendricken, Father Thomas F., Waterbury, Connecticut, to Bishop Francis P. McFarland of, Hartford, Connecticut, 1869 December 7
Scope and Contents
Shortly after Kinerny returned to Troy his confessor decided that he had no vocation. He went to Boston to work for Donahoe for one week. Father James Healy told him not to abandon the idea of the priesthood. He consulted Father John Bapst, S.J. and went recommended by him to Montreal. Since then he has been at St. Hyacinth but after that no one knows anything of him. When he returned Hendricken told him he should have left his ecclesiastical dress at the college because his conduct was disedifying. Had he not supposed the Bishop knew this he would have written before. Because of the way Kinerny spent the vacations Hendricken thinks little can be made of him. He may be saying more than is necessary but the information may be useful. :: I-1-c A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
