Chapter. Discusses the different religious perspectives found in the camp with active Catholics only being a minority and how this led to many discussions on religion and war. Also, discusses the individual nature of the men at the camp and how this led to controversy surrounding how "camp affairs were to be governed" (144). In addition, mentions the controversies surrounding nursing and the food crisis at the camp and differing opinions concerning how it should be dealt with.
