Critique. He says that although he admired Gordon's courage during World War II, he still has some disagreements with his belief system. John believes that people have a duty to fight for their country. However, he does not believe that people should have blind obedience to their goverment. But they should not look out for only their individual interests, but rather trust that the government is looking out for the society as a whole.
