Letter. Gordon tells Bishop O'Connor that is was a pleasure meeting him and to discuss their thoughts on the issues of war and peace in regards to Catholics. He then asks the Bishop for his assistance in starting a program to provide military chaplains with the education and training concerning conscientious objection, the obligations of the chaplain to give guidance relating to the moral implications of war, and guidlines for when to protest clearly immoral military acts.
