Correspondence. A letter to Gordon. ~ In reading "An Alternative to War," McNamara was intrigued by the view that non-violence in its conflict with a violent aggressor might well suffer great horrors. Gordon has suggested that peace will win out because the violent party will soon reach a breaking point. In theory, he agrees with Gordon, but he brings up the point of the Jews being executed by the Nazis and questions the role of the pacifist.
