Correspondence. A letter to Gordon Zahn. ~ General catching up. Few paragraphs spent marveling at the fact that he (Father Dan) does not have any photos of Freddy ? and would Gordon mind if he wrote to the principal of Riversaide High to get a picture of Freddy. Very happy that Freddy was baptised. Father Dan was suprised to hear in Gordon's letter that Mr. Zahn was his stepfather; "mother" (probably Gordon's) and Fred never said a word about it, but can understand Gordon's desire to forget his stepfather as Father Dan had done the same with his own father. Turns to talk of the war. Father Dan is a strong objector to any war and his "clerical brethren" do not share his feelings and often make him the butt of their attacks. Asks Gordon to keep him in his prayers because he can use all the prayers he can get. ~ 11/30 ~ Written from Philadelphia, PA.
