Scope and Contents
The National Conference (national meeting) material consists of correspondence (a large percentage being form letters), financial reports, participants and address lists, resource material (readings to help prepare for issues to be discussed at the conferences), transcribed talks given at the conference (only in 1962 and 1964), agendas, minutes, reports, working papers and miscellaneous material.
Conferences of special interest include the 1962 conference which discussed "Woman's place in the church and the world" and the 1964 and 1965 conferences which dealt with the aggiornamento process in the Catholic Church as a whole and within the Grail movement in particular. The National Conferences stopped in 1966 when their function was completely taken over by the General Assemblies. See also National Board Meetings and National Movement Records for additional information.
The material is divided by conference and arranged chronologically by year of conference. Within each conference the material is subdivided into record type and arranged chronologically within each type.
