NATIONAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY (US)
Scope and Contents
Correspondence; reference files; agendas, both typed and handwritten; minutes; financial records; reports; working papers; evaluations; address lists; regional meetings, held in relation to upcoming General Assemblies, files; and miscellaneous material dealing with individual General Assemblies. Only scant records remain from the 1969 and 1978 General Assemblies, but the 1975 General Assembly is well documented. Most of the records are typed rather than hand written, including the correspondence which in most instances is just form letters.
Of special interest are the 1969 General Assembly which dealt with the question of Protestant participation and the 1975 General Assembly which dealt with the possibility of Jewish participation in the Grail. The unit, as a whole, details not only what was dealt with at individual General Assemblies, but what individual Grail members felt would be dealt with.
The material is divided into individual General Assemblies and arranged chronologically by the year of the assembly. The material is then subdivided within each assembly by record type and arranged chronologically, with the exception of the "Evaluations" and "Regional Meetings" series which are first arranged alphabetically.
