Processing Information
Not all of the photos were accurately organized by Grail and no attempts to fix the arragenement were made by Notre Dame archivists. For example, photos of Ghanna were found in a folder marked "Philadelphia." The Ghanna photos were not moved to the Ghanna folder, but their existence was noted in the finding aid.
The first finding aid posted online had the notice that "the inventory below relies heavily on packing lists sent by The Grail." Box and folder numbers were assigned to the inventory and in some cases the packing lists were duplicated. As such, GGRL 2019-15 3/01-164 were actually the folders in boxes 1 and 2 of GGRL 2019-15 and did not exist in box 3.
The folders that came to the Notre Dame Archives had some notes about original housing, such as "drawer 3." This information was transferred to the new folders, but it is uncertain what it means.
