Corby, who served as head of the Indiana Province from 27 June 1870 to August 1872, from April 1880 to August 1881, and from August 1886 to December 1897; also Fr. Corby's papers dating from before and after his terms as provincial. Correspondence, chiefly concerning administration of Congregation of Holy Cross in the U.S. (1870-1872, 1880-1881 and 1886-1897) when Corby served as provincial. Correspondents include other congregation officials and members, including Patrick W. Condon, Gilbert Francais, Edward Sorin, and Peter J. Hurth, Bishop of Dacca (Bengal, India); and St. Clair Augustin Mulholland (1839-1910) and Z.A. Smith, of Indianapolis, IN., concerning military honors for Corby. Permanent deposit.
